Description
We are hiring System Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, securing, and troubleshooting an organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, operating systems, user accounts, and other technology systems. The role ensures that IT services remain secure, reliable, and available to employees.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and IT infrastructure.
Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization.
Manage user accounts, permissions, access controls, and authentication.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
Maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments.
Configure and maintain network services such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, and file sharing.
Perform system updates, patches, upgrades, and security maintenance.
Implement and monitor backup and recovery procedures.
Maintain system documentation, configurations, and IT asset records.
Monitor security logs and respond to system or security incidents.
Install and manage antivirus, endpoint protection, and other security tools.
Support employees with technical issues and provide IT assistance.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers when required.
Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and security procedures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
Understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
Familiarity with server administration, backups, and system monitoring.
Certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, Linux, or similar are an advantage.
