Key ResponsibilitiesDocument Remediation: Manually tag and structure PDF documents to establish proper reading orders, heading hierarchies, and accessible tables.Compliance Validation: Ensure all documents strictly adhere to standards such as WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and PDF/UA.Interactive Forms: Create and remediate fillable PDF forms to ensure all fields, error messages, and labels are keyboard-navigable and screen-reader friendly.Alternative Text: Write descriptive alternative text (alt-text) for complex images, charts, and infographics.
Required QualificationsExperience: 1 to 5+ years of experience in PDF remediation and digital document processing.Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro. Familiarity with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint) or InDesign is highly preferred.Knowledge: Deep understanding of accessibility standards like WCAG, ADA, and PDF/UA.Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
