Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable CCTV Technician to install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CCTV surveillance systems, access control systems, and other security equipment. The ideal candidate should have technical expertise in security systems, networking, and electrical installations while providing excellent customer service and ensuring optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
Install and configure CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, IP cameras, and surveillance systems.
Install cabling, conduits, network equipment, and power supplies.
Perform system testing and commissioning to ensure proper functionality.
Configure remote monitoring and mobile viewing applications.
Ensure installations comply with company standards and customer requirements.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CCTV and security systems.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and connectivity issues.
Repair or replace faulty cameras, cables, connectors, hard drives, switches, and other components.
Upgrade existing CCTV systems when required.
Networking & System Configuration
Configure IP cameras, routers, switches, and network settings.
Set up remote access using mobile apps and web platforms.
Configure user accounts, passwords, recording schedules, and storage settings.
Monitor system performance and optimize network connectivity.
Customer Support
Respond promptly to service calls and customer complaints.
Provide technical guidance on operating and maintaining CCTV systems.
Train customers on system usage, playback, and remote monitoring.
Recommend upgrades, Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC), and additional security solutions.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare installation reports, service reports, and maintenance records.
Maintain equipment inventory and spare parts records.
Update service activities using ERP or service management software.
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly work reports.
Safety & Compliance
Follow electrical and workplace safety procedures.
Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ensure compliance with company quality standards and security policies.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Required Qualifications
ITI, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
1–3 years of experience in CCTV installation and maintenance.
Freshers with relevant technical training may also apply.
