Description
We are hiring Academic Counselor is responsible for guiding students in selecting suitable courses, programs, and career pathways based on their academic background, interests, and career goals. The role involves student counseling, admission support, follow-ups, and maintaining strong relationships with students and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
Counsel students regarding academic programs, courses, and career opportunities.
Understand students' academic background, interests, and career objectives.
Provide accurate information about courses, eligibility, fees, admission procedures, and career prospects.
Conduct one-to-one counseling sessions with students and parents.
Follow up with prospective students through calls, emails, and messages.
Assist students throughout the admission and enrollment process.
Maintain student records, counseling reports, and follow-up details.
Coordinate with academic, admissions, and management teams.
Organize seminars, workshops, orientation programs, and student counseling sessions.
Meet counseling and admission targets where applicable.
Build positive relationships with students, parents, and educational partners.
Address student queries and provide appropriate solutions.
Maintain confidentiality of student information.
Stay updated on educational programs, admission requirements, and career trends.
Prepare regular reports on counseling activities and admissions.
Perform other duties assigned by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in academic counseling, student counseling, admissions, or education services preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and counseling skills.
Good knowledge of academic programs and career pathways.
Ability to understand student needs and provide suitable guidance.
Strong follow-up, persuasion, and relationship-management skills.
Good computer and MS Office skills.
Ability to work toward targets and meet deadlines.
Professional, patient, and student-friendly attitude.
