Description
Vandya International School, a CBSE-affiliated day boarding school in Guwahati, sits on NH 31 opposite Tolaram Bafna Civil Hospital in Amingaon, Assam. Frequently searched among top CBSE schools in Assam, it offers schooling from Nursery through the senior grades, framed around three pillars: academics, sports, and pastoral care.
On the academic side, Vandya runs robotics, music, and arts and crafts programs alongside its core CBSE curriculum. The school publishes its teaching methodology, assessment system, faculty details, and mandatory public disclosures online — a detail worth checking when comparing CBSE boarding schools in Assam, since not every school is this transparent.
Sports achievements are a consistent feature of the school's public record: students have competed and medaled at the Indo-Nepal Roller Skating Championship, the All Assam Inter Academy Skating Championship, the National Martial Arts Games, and inter-school gymnastics and roll ball events.
Pastoral care spans a house system, structured meals, infirmary and wellbeing services, personal counselling, and organized outings — relevant details for families weighing day boarding versus full boarding in the Guwahati area. The school's "Vandyan Speaks" page also features original student poetry and prose, alongside a regularly updated photo and events gallery.
Vandya holds CBSE affiliation plus NCC and IAYP accreditations, and admissions for the 2026–27 academic year are open now, with online enquiry and campus tour booking available.
