Description
The digital vortex meter makes use of vortex shedding in order to measure the fluid velocity and then calculate the flow rate. Whenever there is movement of fluid around a bluff body inside the device, vortices of alternating nature are formed at frequencies that are proportional to the velocity. The sensor that can detect these vortices is called the piezoelectric sensor. This measuring technique is ideal for use in the industry for various purposes.
